Notebook ION Portiva C2B/D (produk Metrodata)

Gara-gara notebook gue ilang di rumah, terpaksa harus cari notebook lagi. Stelah panjang lebar mikir sana sini, akhirnya beli notebook brand lokal. Yang harus komplet fasilitasnya. Akhirnya nemu 1 model Clevo M52N. Nah loh? Kok jadi Clevo? Bukan ION???

Sejauh ini gue blon liat notebook yang bener-bener produksi lokal. Notebook merk local adalah notebook produksi Taiwan yang di kasih brand lokal (alias OEM). Jadi jangan kaget kalo notebook ION C2B/D yang gue beli ini produk Metrodata tapi mirip banget sama bentuknya Zyrex, Axioo maupun A-Notes yang banyak di pajang di Carrefour. Ternyata gak bentuknya aja yang sama. Tapi emang notebooknya sama. Brand nya aja yang beda2 :-D

Untuk ngeceknya gampang banget. Via console, coba lakukan:

sudo lshw | head

Hasilnya akan memunculkan merk asli dan modelnya:

Stelah install Ubuntu Gutsy dengan lancar, hasilnya adalah:

• vga intel 945GM pada resolusi 1280x1024 32bit (ok)
• memory 1GB (ok)
• bluetooth (ok)
• card reader (ok)
• dvdrw (ok)
• wireless (ok)

Semua diatas langsung dikenali Gutsy dengan baek dan dpt bekerja dengan baek pula. Untuk modem dan webcam, sepertinya belon dikenali. N gue karena blon butuh, juga blon sempet cek lebih jauh. Tapi sejauh ini, notebook baek n lancar2 saja termasuk 3D nya. Coba laen waktu gue sempetin utk configure modem and webcamnya n gue publish ke blog ini.
